PAULA MAY PEARL HAYDEN

September 14, 1974 - January 10, 2026

With deep sadness the family announces the passing of Paula Hayden on January 10, 2026, in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

She was born September 14, 1974, the first child of Bonnie (nee Sheppard) and Van Hayden. She was born in Brandon and raised in Rivers. Childhood summers meant time at the lake with family and friends. Many Sheppard / Hayden families had trailers at the provincial park at Rivers Lake, which led to lots of fun filled summer days.

In the winter she participated in figure skating and coached younger skaters.

After graduating high school, she headed west and worked in the hospitality industry. She worked in Alberta and B.C., with her last job being in Revelstoke. When covid hit and everything closed, she moved to Winnipeg and lived with Van and Sandra. She was finally able to get a job with Dollarama, and she really liked the work. There she met Jason Brown and together they moved to Thunder Bay.

Paula was a very talented artist. Whether it was painting, jewelry, or just turning something she found into a piece of art she loved and enjoyed making new things.

Paula was predeceased by her Mom Bonnie Taylor, grandparents, and several Aunts and Uncles.

Left to mourn her passing is her Dad Van (Sandra), sister Pamela, brother David, stepfather Ron Taylor, boyfriend Jason Brown, and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.
